Please join the Microfinance Club of NY (MFCNY) and the Aspen Network for Developing Entrepreneurs (ANDE) for a special Breakfast Forum on the role of microfinance institutions in addressing "missing middle" finance. The program seeks to address the approximate $2 trillion credit gap facing small and medium enterprises globally. There are 25-30 million SMEs globally who are without access to capital to finance business growth, market expansion, and job creation.

Industry leaders will speak to the challenges for MFIs to move upstream, the capital required for MFIs to develop microlending/microcredit products to finance small and growing businesses, interests of investors to capitalize MFIs to move upstream, and the requisite enabling environments.

Speakers:

  • Maria Cavalcanti, President and CEO, Pro Mujer
  • Robert Constantino, Director, Developing World Markets
  • Nicole Carta, Senior Partnerships Officer/Private Sector, International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD)
  • Randall Kempner, Executive Director, Aspen Network for Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE)

Breakfast: Coffee, juice, continental breakfast

Sponsors: The event is a joint program: Microfinance Club of NY (MFCNY) and Aspen Network for Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE)
