Join our online conversation on July 15th, 12-1:00 pm EDT that brings together leading organizations, investors, and thought leaders to explore how companies are managing water-related risks such as rising waters, flood risks and ecological contaminants. What can investors do to drive change, and which new methods and tools are available for risk management? Specific questions to be addressed include:

  • How can we promote sustainability through net zero strategies?
  • How are companies achieving net positive water impact?
  • How is water integrated into ESG Investing?
  • How are investors, asset managers, and asset owners effectively using risk management and asset allocations tools?

Robin Miller from Ceres will introduce the Investor Water Toolkit, the first comprehensive resource to evaluate and act on water risks in investment portfolios.

Speakers include:

  • Moderator: Carolyn Allwin, Chief Sustainability Officer, Recap Investing. Carolyn is also an Adjunct Professor at Bard's MBA in Sustainability Program. Prior to Recap, Carolyn worked at GoldenTree Asset Management and at Ernst & Young. 
  • Vedika Bhandarkar, Chief Impact Officer at Water.org. Vedika oversees all of Water.org's programmatic work. She was previously the Managing Director, India at Water.org. Vedika has more than 25 years of experience building teams and businesses with Indian and international financial institutions. Prior to joining Water.org in January 2016, she served as Vice Chairman and Managing Director at Credit Suisse Securities (India) Private Limited from 2010-2015. Previously, she served as the Managing Director & Head of Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan.
  • Robin Miller, Manager, Investor Engagement, Water, at Ceres. Ceres is a sustainability nonprofit organization working with influential investors and companies to drive solutions throughout the economy. Through powerful networks and advocacy, Ceres tackles the world’s biggest sustainability challenges, including climate change, water scarcity and pollution, and inequitable workplaces.
  • Matthew Sheldon, Senior Portfolio Manager on the Natural Resources equity team at KBI Global Investors. Matt is responsible for the development of investment strategy as well as the day-to-day management of the Water strategy. He has extensive specialist knowledge and experience in investing in the water sector, including both global public listed equities and private equity. Prior to joining the firm, Matt worked at Water Asset Management where he was an Investment Analyst and at Wedge Capital Management where he was an Equity Analyst.
