NYC’s very own social enterprise restaurant - P.S. Kitchen
Join the Impact Capital Forum on Thursday, September 6th, for a professional networking event and to learn about and experience NYC’s very own social enterprise restaurant.
P.S. Kitchen opened door a year ago as NYC’s first restaurant existing solely as a "social business." They commit to:
1. Creating jobs for those marginalized in New York, such as clients of partnering organizations.
2. Donating 100% of profits to sustainable charitable work locally and overseas.
3. Providing New Yorkers with delicious food options that are kind to the body and the earth.
The restaurant offers an exquisite vegan menu from a renowned chef, fusing traditional French cuisine and Asian essences with American comfort food. Think Maitake Steam Bao buns or Smokey BBQ Beyond Burger as two choices.
This networking event is a casual get-together, featuring unlimited appetizers and cash bar from 5:30pm-7:30pm. We will hear about the restaurant's mission and experiences so far, from co-founder April Tam Smith - by day, a Managing Director in equity derivatives - and some of the staff. We hope to see you there!
Watch the video trailer of a documentary on their journey, featuring familiar faces such as Dr. Muhammad Yunus, who was the first patron of P.S. Kitchen at the grand opening of their second floor!
You must register to participate in advance. Entry is $20 for attendance solely at this event, or $10 suggested at the door for those who are Impact Capital Forum subscribed members, or who become members before the event.
P.S. You're highly recommended to stay after the event for dinner, using a special discount code that Impact Capital Forum will share with those who have registered in advance.
